Portrait of the Sociopath
Sociopath. You’ve heard the word, but do you really know what it means? It sounds scary, and sometimes it can be… when a sociopath kills. Most sociopaths do not kill, however. Unless they become President of the United States and start a war. Sociopaths are abundant in society and some do very well at business, especially sales. Think: Donald Trump.
The qualities of a sociopath can be used for good or evil. These qualities can be an asset or a burden to the person possessing them. It depends on how the individual decides to use their tendencies. More often than not, their behavior is shaped by the outside world and how they perceive other people respond to them. Usually, sociopaths find it hard to form, or maintain, intimate relationships because they tend to be controlling,
highly-opinioned, have enormous, absolutely overblown egos, and are generally dislikable.
Rather than write out a comical explanation, I thought I’d share a serious study of what a sociopath really is. You may find you know one or two, or even many of them. Check out this webpage which explains, in great detail, how a sociopath thinks. Then compare the descriptions to people like Crazy Anthony, Drew Peterson, and other social misfits.
